When you got into real estate as a career, you most likely had dreams of earning the big money that you heard is possible. But more often than not, the big money is not as easy to get as you were led to believe. But why not? Surely it can be done. Others are doing it. Why not you?
I have narrowed down the difference between the big earners and those who barley scrape by to two things. There are only two things that keep you from enjoying the level of success that you want to achieve. They enable you to increase the number of transactions you do per year so that you can earn the money you want. More deals equals more money, right? But how do you get them?
If you study those who succeed on a large level and those who don't you will immediately see that the big earners have become great marketers. They have transformed the way they do business from the old way, a sales company, to a newer more effective way of doing business. The marketing company. Learning real estate marketing and then applying what they learned allows them to bring in deal practically at will. I know when we run full on marketing campaigns, we quickly have to shut them down because we can't' possibly follow up with all of the leads we get.
But that is really all there is to it. The two things are knowing what to do, and then doing them. But most are lacking in one or both of these areas. They either work very hard at things that just don't produce results. Or they learn the right things to do, and then don't do them.
The easiest and fastest way around this is to work with someone who knows what to do because they have done it. They also must know how to help you do it. Having a mentor provides a big leap to success. It reduces the amount of wasted time and effort that you have when you are trying to figure it out for yourself.
